Food Network changing Philadelphia's brand

In marketing you will hear a lot of talk regarding your brand. The brand is the first things or words people think of when your name is mentioned. Changing people’s thoughts about you can be a daunting task.
Philadelphia is on the way to redoing its brand regarding food. The town is known for cheese steaks and soft pretzels. But the Food Network is going along way to expand on that image.
Recent shows have featured Philly and food favorites that their on air hosts love when they come to town.
On “The Best Thing I Ever Ate” Chef Robert Irvine has mentioned Philadelphia twice. He felt the mashed potatoes at Parc in Rittenhouse Square were what he craved when he visits. On another episode he talked about an unusual Falafel Omelets that you can get from A&M Halal which is a food truck that parks behind Drexel University.
Mark Summers raves about the pizza that he eats at Osteria on Broad Street. He also likes to visit the Franklin Fountain on Market Street with Chef Guy Fieri. They each have their favorite sodas that they enjoy and tried to convince each other why theirs was the best.
Our reputation as the cheese steak capital isn’t going to change overnight but gradually Philly is becoming  known for many of the other great food choices we have to offer.
