Marketing that will inspire

Most non-profit organizations are always looking for ways to share their mission especially charities. They work hard to set up events that can raise money for those in need.

The American Cancer Society is no exception and they regularly hold events and look for participants to join in. This year they will be having the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Philadelphia on Sunday October 10, 2010. It will be a walk to raise money and awareness. Many of the participants are walking for friends and family who have been touched by this disease.

You can get more details and information if you want to participate at http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR/MakingStridesAgainstBreastCancer/MSABCFY11Pennsylvania?pg=entry&fr_id=28167

One team participating is from the Philadelphia Convention Visitors Bureau (PCVB). They are walking for a co-worker and friend Rosalinda Mendez. They are calling their effort “Rooting for Rosa”. The group is also honoring the memory of friend Marie Baker Brown.

This is truly marketing that comes from the heart. No one is going to work harder for you than those that are touched personally by the cause. Watching these efforts you will first feel touched by sadness at the suffering some have to face. The next thing you will feel is inspired by their courage.

So if you want to promote a good cause and help some deserving people consider participating in the walk this October.
